FCITL Membership





There are two types of membership in the Florida Council of Instructional Technology Leaders

Voting membershipshall be open to one person from a district who has district wide instructional technology responsibilities. The voting member shallbe designated by the district as its Voting Member. Districts shall decide how best to exercise their vote.

Other members from a district shallbe associate members. In the event a district is unable to name a voting member, the President and/or Executive Board may disqualify that district from casting its vote at the meeting in question.

Associate memberships (non-voting) shall be open to all persons embracing the purposes of the organization who are DOE personnel, privateschool representatives, post secondary faculty members, and persons retired from any of these positions.

Former FCITL members who, in their current position, can do business and realize financial gain working with districts are not eligible for FCITL membership. However, retired FCITLassociate members who are currently, at the time of this vote (September 1999), a FCITL member, can retain membership regardless futureemployment status.

Currently (2000), dues for Voting Members are $40 per year; dues for Associate Members are $40 per year. The FCITL membership year runs from the annual meeting held at the Florida Educational Technology Conference(FETC) to FETC each year.

To join or renew your membership, send a check to the Treasurer.  Dues may also be paid at any FCITL meeting.Please be sure to include the following information with your dues:

*    Name, District, Position, Mailing Address, City, State, ZIP
*    Email address, office phone (including area code and extension, if any), office fax, and home phone

Please note:  Only members are notified of meetings.  All communication is done by email. Please be sure to keep your email address up-to-date by notifying the secretary or treasurer of any changes.
